If a new subscription is created while there is an active subscription for the site, this is considered a follow up subscription. This will always lead to the current subscription being ended and the new subscription starting immediately. This is also where the Time for time calculations value is used. There are three cases:
- New voucher is redeemed while the currently active subscription was created from a voucher as well. In this case Time for time calculations happens according to following formula:
Number of extra days added to the new subscription = (Remaining days of the currently active subscription except today) * (Time-for-time factor of the currently active voucher) / (Time-for-time factor of the new voucher)
- In case the new voucher is more valuable, this will result in a lower number of extra days added from the current subscription, but then will allow for the higher amount of users and IQs.
- New voucher is redeemed while the currently active subscription was created manually through Larry Support. In this case NO Time for time calculation happens, but we add remaining days from the currently active subscription to the new subscription.
- Manual subscription is created while there is an active subscription (either manual or from voucher). No extra days are added to the new subscription. Support engineer can choose a correct end date themselves when creating a manual subscription
