M2M FAQs

1. How long does it take for the alternative connection to be established when M2M is deactivated?

The alternative connection is established almost instantly. 


2. M2M is activated, but there is no signal. What do I do?

In this case, you must contact support. 


3. If Ethernet is enabled and M2M is then activated, what connection type will be used?

Whichever connection type has the highest priority set when the IQ was set up.


4. Why did a SIM get disabled?

If a SIM gets disabled, it is because it was inactive for an extended period of time.


5. Can I safely enable a deactivated SIM card?

Yes. 


6. When I enable the SIM, will it automatically switch to M2M?

Yes, it will if there is no other active connection.


7. In what kind of cases or circumstances should I activate an M2M SIM?

You should activate an M2M SIM when the customer is experiencing IQ connection problems with their current IQ network connections and requires M2M for a stable connection.


8. If I deactivate the M2M and then activate it again, will the IQ connect through M2M automatically, or are certain manual actions needed?

The IQ will connect automatically.
