The battery level information is different between Salto Space and Salto KS logic.
This is internal information, we usually don't provide it outside, also because it isn't so useful for them from a functional point of view.
For RF locks:
The relationship between battery level and our lock indication isn't related to a percentage, but to the an effective voltage level of the batteries (of course this information is related a specific ideal case, room/standard temperature, and considering recommended models):
- three batteries LR03: Normal level until have consumed 950 mA/h of the batteries and Low level until arrive to 1050 mA/h;
- three batteries LR6: Normal level until have consumed 2100 mA/h of the batteries and Low level until arrive to 2350 mA/h;
- three batteries LR03: Normal level until have consumed 950 mA/h of the batteries and Low level until arrive to 1050 mA/h;
- three batteries LR6: Normal level until have consumed 2100 mA/h of the batteries and Low level until arrive to 2350 mA/h;
From another point of view: what i described you from the battery voltage side is to have Normal level above 3,45V and Low level between 3.45V and 3.25V.
For BLE locks:
The battery warning email will be sent when the battery level has dropped and right after the first user tried to open the lock.
Battery status reader has a slight approximation mechanism in it and the reading is triggered only when you try to open the lock.
So basically, battery status is checked only when you try to open the lock. But since there is an approximation mechanism, you need to open a lock multiple times for the system to understand the exact capacity of the battery.
For Salto escutcheon lock type we recommend the following brands:
- Duracell Plus Power AAA (MN2400)
- Simply Duracell AAA (MN2400)
- Varta High Energy AAA (04903)
- Varta Longlife AAA (04103)
- Varta Industrial AAA (04003)
- Simply Duracell AA (MN1500)
- Varta High Energy AA (04906)
- Duracell Plus Power AA (MN1500)
- Varta Industrial AA (04006)
- Varta Longlife AA (04106)
