Situation needs to be considered or evaluated for integrations

The Salto KS system is working based on an assumption the components are online most of the time, the UX will be improved if you have thought for the exception cases, like IQ offline, lock offline, below is a table with different situations, so you can prepare accordingly.

*Lock status is indicated through API, KS web UI as well in KS mobile app, the online/offline status is updated by the IQ. The IQ use heartbeat to keep the lock online, if the IQ missed 5 times heartbeat, the IQ will mark the lock as offline, and forward to the backend, more details can be found here: https://claysolutions.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/101000412438


So it is possible the lock is offline, but still online in the dashboard. Presenting the maintenance card on the lock, if flashing green, then the lock is online, red means offline


*IQ status is indicated through API, KS web UI as well in KS mobile app, the online/offline status is updated by the backend. The backend use heartbeat to keep the IQ online, it would take up to 30 min for the backend to determine the IQ is offline. The true status of the IQ is indicated by IQ LED, flashing red means offline, flashing green every 5 min means connected.
